Newsletter recommendation — Usable Science
Posted on .
My friend Anna Rascouët-Paz has been writing a wonderful science newsletter since this summer and I bet you’d enjoy it.
The latest edition is a great example of why it’s a regular must-read among the many, many (many) newsletters I subscribe to. There’s a top-line explainer of how Covid works by turning your own antibodies against you, a bit about rapid over the counter testing kits, and a story about the woman who pioneered mRNA research. Obviously, a science newsletter has been pretty heavy on all things pandemic, but it’s not all doom an gloom, and there’s plenty of just great, practical advice, like how to survive winter.
You might recall Anna as a co-conspirator of Evening Edition, the evening news digest we helped get off the ground waaaay back in 2012 — we were doing digests before they were cool! Anna has a sharp eye for what’s important and a wonderful, humane voice.
